Who we are
Aarkun is operated by Arcana Smithy(“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Aarkun website at aarkun.com, the official Discord, or any service we operate, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Aarkun services. By using them you confirm you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these terms in your country.
Your account
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us at support@aarkun.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the services, harass other users, or violate these terms.
Community conduct
Across our Discord, comment threads, and any community space we operate:
- Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxing, or targeted abuse.
- No spam, scams, paid promotions, or unsolicited advertising.
- No illegal content. No content that infringes others' intellectual property.
- No NSFW content outside spaces explicitly designated for it (currently none).
- Follow moderator instructions. Persistent rule-breaking will result in a ban.
Intellectual property
The Aarkun game, world, characters, art, music, writing, and source code are owned by Arcana Smithy and our contributors. You may screenshot, stream, and create fan-made content for non-commercial purposes provided you credit Aarkun and Arcana Smithy. For commercial use (selling merchandise, paid streaming sponsorships featuring Aarkun content, etc.), email us at support@aarkun.com first.
Content you post in our community spaces (screenshots, suggestions, art) remains yours, but by posting it you grant Arcana Smithy a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, share, and quote it within Aarkun community channels. If you ask us to remove your contribution, we will.
Patron support
Paid support for Aarkun is handled through Patreon under Patreon's own terms. All Patron tiers may be cancelled at any time. Patron-tier rewards are delivered on a best-effort basis as described on the Support Us page. Patron support is not a pre-purchase of the finished game and is not refundable except as required by law.
Beta access
Closed-alpha and beta access (when offered) is provided as-is for testing purposes. Beta builds contain bugs and incomplete features and may be wiped at any time. Do not share beta credentials, screenshots, or footage outside the specific channels we designate.
No warranty
The website and services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the site will be available at all times, that it will be free of bugs, or that any specific feature will continue to exist. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arcana Smithy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the services.
Changes
These terms may change as the project evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced via our newsletter and in the Discord server.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom unless a mandatory consumer-protection rule in your country says otherwise.
